the shoes would have been mighty tempting in my 20-something years. so would the guy, but since i had more choice back then, i would have thought deeply about instant gratification vs. at least a season’s worth of wear & tear.

now that i’m 40-something and no longer wear heels, i’ll have to go with the instant gratification — ’cause life is short (and getting shorter).

The only way my crippled ass would be able to wear those shoes is if the big man with the pretty hair agreed to carry me around, which he looks quite capable of doing. But I do appreciate their resemblance to the tooth fairy in Rise of the Guardians.
