It was a message. You have been asking for one & there it is. In my tradition, injuries to the nose, especially when creates by someone else’s actions, is a message to you that the answers are rout in front of your face but you are denying them. The water bottle connects you with emotion (water) and tells you to stop letting all of your emotions cause you pain especially when they are coming out of the blue at high velocity. Sorry for the kind of jerky jerky style – I’m lying in my ex- husband’s bed, 1000. Miles.from.home trying to figure my own crap.out.

I got hit in the back of the head with a plastic bottle at a concert once. Hurt like a motherfucker. I can only imagine how badly a shot to the nose would smart. Sorry that happened, Sister. But you didn’t bring that shit upon yourself.

And yes – it absolutely, unequivocally, 100% for certain was a sign. Max was there. He always is, and sometimes he can let you know he is. That was one of those times.

Wow! That’s absolutely wild! Joyful! Beautiful! In spite of the bottle lobbed in your direction — but at least you get hardcore points for taking it and bleeding. It’s so funny (in the delightful sense) how things shake out like that, as though you’ll never be entirely without even though someone is gone.
Also fuck people who think the grieving period is over after two months.

I can’t even begin to imagine what you must have felt!!!
Yes, it has to mean something. It HAS to.

I do think, though, that if you go to enough concerts, you will eventually get hit on the nose. Simple statistical sampling will tell you 😉
