i totally agree with you olivia i hate my gap to but my mom said even if i do get braces she dosnt want my gap to be closed…but its history soon as i get the money or chance to close it…lol

I have a gap and I honestly hate it. My mother always told me that a lot of beautiful people have gaps and I should be proud of it because it makes me unique. But it’s hard, society these days are harsh, everyone gets judged by their imperfections by someone and it’s hurtful. I’m very self-conscious of my gap, it’s so bad that I barely even smile anymore because I’m afraid of being judged for my gap and not for me…

All these people who are praising the gap actually are miserable, but refuse to admit it. Teeth Gaps look pathetic and destroy a person’s looks completely. Even the most beautiful/handsome people look horrible the moment they open their mouths and show their gaps. Gaps are unhealthy too, as food gets stuck and they require constant flossing too. I somehow find the gapped look groutesque. Mercifully, I don’t have any gaps. Thank god! To all those people who have gaps – please get braces. You have no right to torture people with your gapped looks. It is an imperfection that you do not have to live with. The dentist can help you to get that lovely smile.

I’m desperately trying oh Sister Wolf. With the precedent of the Wife of Bath (and hence the sexual availability that the gap *signifies*) I now think it is Tess or Anna Karenina who are the most likely candidates – I’m speed-re-reading Tess at the moment to see if I’m correct. Anyone game to do Anna Karenina for the good of those who care? I have a 900 page report to read at the same time . . . .

I never had a gap but I have a slight crooked front tooth. It’s grown on me over the years and now I realize even if I had all the money in the world, I would never fix it. It’s as much as a part of me as anything else is.

YES! I love this post!
I had braces and after 4 years of nightly retainer wear, I gave up and welcomed the return of the gap. my mom was pissed.

but now I can squirt water 14 feet, so im happy with it.
