I wish (well, kinda wish) that buying worked for me. If I try to shop to cheer myself up, it just makes me think about why I got mopey in the first place (usually some intractable problem), and I realize that buying won’t help. Oddly, thinking how happy you are with the green jacket does help (please never confess if you fall out of love with that jacket).
