“Empowerment” is a reduction of “self-actualization”. Most self-identified feminists reject the doctrine of media-perpetuated ‘choice feminism’ this concept stems from.

Jezebel has been loudly denounced by the community it wants to serve over its racism as well as weird bits of male exceptionism like their writer with a string of domestic violence charges. It’s better than mainstream celebrity press but we always hold these marketed alternatives to a higher standard. Someone will eat a Snickers because they know it’s bad and what to expect, but will leave a box of organic cereal on the grocery shelf for containing canola oil. An odd social phenomenon.

Slightly off topic, but can somebody please enlighten my dumb ass and explain me concept of “empowerment”? I’ve spent lifetime thinking that power is male concept that has proven to be wrong and harmful on every single level. Suddenly, in order to be feminist today, I need to listen to Beyonce record, feel “empowered”, walk down the street feeling better than the others? I don’t get it. What happened to empathy? Not sexy enough, I guess.

I’m adding “empowerment” to the top of list of banned words.

Even the name is utterly lousy. I was going to put Lena who? But she was really funny on Graham Norton last Friday so for one 30 minute window I engaged. I have tried and tried and tried to watch and like Girls but it bored me and left me with a trauma, nightmares about her weird boyfriend is he called Adam? Well anyway there is a doubble ganger to the weird boyfriend at the gym except he is actually Japanese or Korean. I shudder with my trauma every time I see him. I couldn’t buy the paper one weekend as the stupid Guardian had him on the front cover. So no I don’t care about Girls, Lena and thankfully Jezebel but I’m ok with Vogue not that I ever get it as it is really boring and predictable, everything is this days apart from American Hustle. I liked that.

What makes me the happiest, is that original photo’s are not that heavily manipulated as Jezebel was hoping for. I also think that Vogue is not to be blamed, they are just what they always do. It’s Lena’s choice to work with photographer famous for faking, that is bothersome. Lena agreed and was paid for it.

Jezebel is one nasty bitter mouthwash. Their understanding of feminism doesn’t go beyond typing 8 letter word.

This whole episode has taught me a few things.
The easiest way to lose weight is to drop a limb.
I had never considered that option before.
Jezebel are total fuckers. Total.
And that someone always has access to the original photos. All you have to do is ask, and offer some $$$

Is this a whole publicity scheme by Vogue??? That has just occurred to me.
Because whomever is found to have “Leaked” the original pictures would be killed otherwise, right???
