Not to mention you even pronounced my name correctly (most people say hay-lee). You are lovely, thank you. xo

And ah, Russian Red, I should have known! It’s perfect.

The ones that are usually send out pretty good tweets, and on top of them I follow people like Grace Dent and Caitlin Moran who are marvelous. Are you following them?
I’m happy to hear you’re happy those girls are nice.

By: Alicia - Sea Of Ghosts https://godammit.com/sister-wolf-and-twitter-part-ii/comment-page-1/#comment-178660 Tue, 23 Nov 2010 05:08:17 +0000 http://www.godammit.com/?p=6390#comment-178660 I love watching my friends have conversations on twitter. I think (like the reason twitter was supposedly created) it helps me get to know them a little bit better when I can be a fly on the wall to their discussions. Sometimes too I can join in and then share that conversation and that kind of thing is not possible via e-mail or text or whatever.

We all know how most of our friends feel about the “big issues”, if we didn’t we could hardly call them friends. It’s the little things twitter unmasks that are so great – like the day I found out at least two of my followers were also unable to ride bikes. I thought I was the only 25 year old on the planet that couldn’t ride a bicycle. So trivial, and never likely to come up in a normal conversation, but thanks to twitter it gave me a laugh and a little warm fuzzy.

It makes me sad when people constantly dismiss daily “drivel” as though it’s somehow unimportant. Nobody is silent until they have an enlightening nugget of wisdom to share with whoever is listening. We all talk all sorts of shit every day thanks to our ever-flowing streams of consciousness, it’s life and it’s real.

it’s not even about having an audience… nobody opens a new twitter account to 150,000 followers. You can even make your twitter stream private if you DON’T want an anonymous audience.

If you’re on twitter trying to find the answer to life you’ve been misinformed to the application’s intent.

Nicole’s boyfriend is right. Twitter IS that thing you ate, that talk you had, the things you bought, the place you went, what you did there, with whom, where at, how come, at every moment, all damn day. And that’s why it’s awesome.

I’m tweeting my ass off (sorry for the strong language) & feeling quite invisible. I’m having a bad day, so I’m a bit miffed about all of this business. If I see one more power blogger wearing a giant torn t-shirt with leggings I’m going to have a complete fit. Anyway I do like your hair & I will probably follow your secret tweets.
