“The Bless Finger Gloves are a conceptual take on a classic pair of winter gloves. Individual sleeves for each finger keep your digits toasty”

Are these Finger Gloves cute or what? Imagine the fun of your partner waiting around as you carefully put on ten little woolen condoms, then starting all over again because you mistook the thumb for the pinky finger!  The silver thingies will snag your silk evening dress or fishnet stockings….perfection.  Just $390.

By the same brand, Bless, here is an eye-catching hair brush:

“It’s both unnerving and funny at once, leaving one with mixed feelings of curiosity and intrigue. “

(They forgot rage and horror.) I am guessing that this is a ‘conceptual take’ as well. The word ‘conceptual’ is probably something to think about when shopping for Christmas gifts. An empty box would be a conceptual take on a classic present, and plus it would be free, as opposed to this hair-brush, which is $350.

I actually love Creatures of Comfort, the shop where I found these items, and they have a wide variety of fashion-forward clothes, leaning toward the minimalist mental patient look. I even have a pair of boots I bought there, sitting quietly in their box, wondering if they will ever see the light of day.

Are you feeling the Cher?!

I asked my husband to say something funny, so I could smile while modeling this feather bolero.   This is the result. Unfortunately, I am not at liberty to repeat what he said to make me laugh.

The bolero is a gift from my Queen Marie, who also managed to find these badges somewhere:

How does she do it??   We are engaged in a gifting folie à deux that has brought me more joy than I can express.   A package from Queen Marie is a very special event, and I look forward to trying to outdo her in brilliance and generosity.

The bonds we make out in cyberspace are kind of magical, aren’t they? I guess it’s because of their serendipity. It’s not all about being a cunt.

Who wouldn’t want this eye-catching bird’s nest bracelet? It’s made of sterling silver and brass wire, a real statement piece according to Vivre, where you can find the most decadent items for the moneyed classes. It’s only $1,035.

I also like these “gold-plated” jeans from Vivre, which are  treated with an 18K gold painted finish. They’re $875.

Easter isn’t a big deal at my house any more, but it used to be. I would sneak into the kids’ rooms late at night with a basket full of goodies. I’ll always remember the time my son, around 8 years old and a headbanger,  played a Motley Crue tape for one of his friends, who asked where he got it. My son said casually, “The Easter Bunny.” I held my breath. And the friend replied “Cool.”
