Every label has its own version, even <strong>Helmut Lang<\/strong> and <strong>DVF<\/strong>.<\/p>\n<p>What do these garments say to you? To me, they are saying &#8220;I can&#8217;t afford leather so I bought these instead.&#8221; Why else would you buy them, right? That&#8217;s why they make me sad. They remind me that I can&#8217;t afford a pair of leather l&#8212;&#8212;s, even though they are a key item for fall\/winter.&nbsp;\u00a0 Like any spoiled brat, I&#8217;d rather have nothing if I can&#8217;t have what I want.<\/p>\n<p>To cheer my self up, I&#8217;m enjoying the sight of <a href=\"http:\/\/www1.bloomingdales.com\/catalog\/product\/index.ognc?ID=438362&amp;CategoryID=14547&amp;PageID=14547*3*24*-1*-1*-1*67#mainProductImage\" target=\"_blank\">these<\/a> &#8220;custom-distressed splattered jeans.&#8221;<\/p>\n<p><a href=\"http:\/\/www.godammit.com\/wp-content\/uploads\/2009\/08\/alice-and-olivia-custom-distressed.tif\"><img loading=\"lazy\" decoding=\"async\" class=\"alignnone size-medium wp-image-2836\" title=\"alice-and-olivia-custom-distressed\" src=\"https:\/\/i0.wp.com\/www.godammit.com\/wp-content\/uploads\/2009\/08\/alice-and-olivia-custom-distressed-240x300.jpg?resize=240%2C300\" alt=\"alice-and-olivia-custom-distressed\" width=\"240\" height=\"300\" srcset=\"https:\/\/i0.wp.com\/godammit.com\/wp-content\/uploads\/2009\/08\/alice-and-olivia-custom-distressed.tif?resize=240%2C300&amp;ssl=1 240w, https:\/\/godammit.com\/wp-content\/uploads\/2009\/08\/alice-and-olivia-custom-distressed.tif 325w\" sizes=\"(max-width: 240px) 100vw, 240px\" data-recalc-dims=\"1\" \/><\/a><\/p>\n<p><strong>&#8220;Alice + Olivia custom distresses each pair of these worn and torn jeans to look like you&#8217;ve had them forever.&#8221;<\/strong><\/p>\n<p>Hahaha! Would any of us see someone walk by wearing these jeans and think, &#8220;<em>Wow, she&#8217;s had those forever<\/em>?&#8221; I think it would be more like &#8220;<em>Oh god, ugh, what next, jeans stained with axle grease and vomit<\/em>&#8220;?<\/p>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"<p>Have you been noticing all the l&#8212;&#8212;s that combine leather and jersey?
