I thought she looked kind of beautiful, like a Shiva or an octopus.<\/p>\n<p>But I don\u2019t want to be part of any cheap attempt to fetishize her. So instead, I\u2019d like share my discovery of <a href=\"http:\/\/en.wikipedia.org\/wiki\/Madhu_Kishwar\" target=\"_blank\">Madhu Kishwar<\/a>, a human rights activist who approves of the surgery but asks the media to give the child some privacy.<\/p>\n<p>In this short <a href=\"http:\/\/www.tehelka.com\/story_main15.asp?filename=hub123105inthechair_6.asp\" target=\"_blank\">interview<\/a>,&nbsp;\u00a0Kishwar addresses a question about glorifying the dead:<\/p>\n<p><em><strong>\u201cGlorification shouldn\u2019t happen, but you can\u2019t prevent people from glorifying. Look at Princess Diana, the most stupid woman in the history of womankind, who flung herself at the most worthless men in the world \u2013 she\u2019s glorified by the British people.
