Godammit, I got an email update from Pixie Market and stupidly went to the website. A spell came over me, you know the one. It sounds like this in your head: buy it! no don’t! in an endless loop.
My shoe sponsor is somewhere in London, leaving me untethered to reality.
I’m blaming this purchse on Jill, who is a cold-blooded enabler. Don’t turn to Jill when your habit is triggered. And don’t talk to me about those fucking buckles, either. It could be a lot worse.
Just to make you feel bad, here’s a pair you can’t have, by Junya Watanabe, 2006.
Or, you can go look at you-know-who’s “Shoe Picks for Fall 09.” The comment thread will put you off shoes forever! If only I’d seen that sooner!
They’re very mod elfin! Rock them!
Those shoes are awesome. You should have no regrets!
I have them in red if it makes you feel any better…
LOL
And I stay away from Pixie Market precisely for that purpose. They have this black cable knit bolero jacket that keeps calling me sweetly.
They are fab – I actually want them in red.
Oh and I did peek – having never bothered before and how it made me smile.
I love them. Great purchase, and you will get a lot of use out of them.
I’ll accept the label “shoe addict enabler”…I need to find one of my own!
Wait — you’re upset because you have new shoes?
::blinkblink::
I am unfamiliar with this emotion.
My husband says I shop too much and I need a 12 step program. He does not understand that we NEED these things. They telegraph to the world that we are “in the know” that we are “on the cutting edge”. I just love stuff that is sexy/edgy/unexpected. I hate anything that is too “prissy” or “polished”. Even though I AM NOT into S&M, I love stuff that’s bondagy and a little tough. Like these boots. You need these boots- you will wear them forever! He also says I shouldn’t go online because it makes me shop. Ya think he’s right??
About the shoes- underground uk has lots more styles of them, I might buy them from there. Oops! Don’t tell my husband!
lol at you-know-who!!
I’m with StyleSpy………

One of the Queens love those shoes…I think she calls ’em winkle pickers? I’d totally get them..they’re cute.
no guilt allowed over these, a classic, maybe you should get the red too?
See, it’s OK.
I just remembered that in 1990 I publicly wore an almost similar pair. They were chelsey boots, made of suede, and only had two buckles which were on the side, but the shape was the same. Thankfully, I refuse to remember the tight black pants and the light brown cashmere coat I wore. Not the mention the hair cut. Thank goodness we didn’t have camera phones back then!!
These will surely telegraph your awareness of the latest trends!
The “bankroll” quote is of particular interest to you:

Wow I need these to use as a weapon.

That is precisely the reason I do not visit Pixie Market. Go stand in the corner and think about your behaviour. Shame on you.
