Remember when we all admired her unibrow and moustache? Lourdes has evidently succumbed to either societal pressure or her mother’s obsession with beauty procedures. Here they are arriving in Malawi to purchase a new child.
Six months ago, Lourdes was still sporting the natural look.
Oh well. Lourdes is a beautiful girl, but it would have been nice for young women to have a new role model in the Frida Kahlo tradition. I just hope it was Lourdes who made the decision to go for the clean shaven look.

By this time tomorrow, Lourdes may have a new little sister. I’m sure it’s not really colonialism on Madonna’s part to enlarge her family by plucking children from Africa. She’s just trying to save Malawi, for god sake! As she explained to Vanity Fair, “I didn’t choose Malawi. Malawi chose me.”

Oh lordy I am lost for words – truly I’m speechless, have no idea where to begin. But that eyebrow pluck must have been Lourdes in the bathroom in a fit of teenage pique surely!
I think adopting children and giving them a loving supportive home is a wonderful thing……but what’s with these people having to go all the way across the world to do so?…..being Canadian i’m no expert on homless children in the US, but Jesus Christ, arent there a ton of kids to pick from the bronx?….or is that not chic enough?….and i believe young Lourdes has picked her unibrow in half due to anxiety, sorta like a parrot will pluck out it’s hind feathers when under a great deal of stress….
You know, I think if she just smiled in picture number 1, she would look grand.
Lourdes is becoming a woman. You can see it in the hair and accessories too.
My biological big sister couldn’t stand my little fat caterpillar brows and when I was 13 she held me down and plucked them. Maybe Maddie did the same?
