Yes, it was indeed. Thank you for this post, Amanda is wonderful.
Now I have to go to town and bump into gringos who (with a few exceptions) just couldn’t be happier today and who post “Free at last!” crap all over FB. They also send me emails to inform me that marriages should be only between a man and a woman, because this is what their god likes. And, of course, nothing is about race in US.
Sigh.

Poor Trayvon, his family, Rachel Jeantel. Watching that fucker cross-examine her was like being forced to watch Precious all over again. The media coverage of this has been incredibly stupid and hypocritical. Please god, if this travesty of justice teaches us anything, it might be how insidiously racist this country is and that 30 yrs of political correctness has only taught racists how to dissimulate and not give themselves away by saying nigger.
The ‘HuffPo’ complains that “the Mail naturally focused on Palmer’s appearance rather than, say, performance or musicianship.”
Well, judged by the opening of that ‘song’, frankly, there isn’t much to be said about “her performance of musicianship”. I can’t say much about her body because within nanoseconds of her removing her clothes I was scrambling for the ‘Off’ button.
However, further to Annemarie’s comment above to the effect that “30 yrs of political correctness has only taught racists how to dissimulate and not give themselves away by saying nigger” may I say that I have been trying to hammer that exact point into the thick skulls of Leftie Language Commissars all of whom faint away at the word ‘nigger’.

First of all, Lefties do not produce racists; the Right does that.
Secondly, the Left did not produce political correctness; in it’s current incarnation, the concept of political correctness comes from a conservative think tank which was hired to sanitize Reagan’s speeches in order to broaden his electoral appeal.
