Let’s Marry This Lipstick

The cutest little 1940’s style metal case, the angled tip for precise application, rich pigment, and its own little velvet sack to carry it in your pocket or bag.   Besame is a company inspired by vintage cosmetics and this lipstick is only $15.00.   “Besame Red” is a vibrant blue red that looks especially nice with pale skin.

I have a million lipsticks in the same color but this is my new one and the one I want to marry. If you can’t get it wherever you live, let me know and I’ll get one for you.

    The case is just beautiful.

On a totally different note, Fashionista invite their readers to “caption this” it’s a photo of scumbag Terry Richardson trying to look clean http://fashionista.com/2010/05/caption-this-terry-goes-preppy/. If you don’t mind me asking Sister, please can your readers write a suitable caption for this revolting excuse for a man? I’ve written my best caption but I know you can insult him so much better than I can.

  2. Ann says:

$15! An affordable lipstick with nice touches like a velvety pouch and little swirly flowery designs on the case itself?! I’m going to find this lipstick myself! How is its staying power?

They have a website — I’ve been on their mailing list for years, but I’ve never bought anything. Maybe now I’ll have to since Besame has your seal of approval!

  5. WendyB says:

    I’ll try it!

I am going for a trial marriage too! for $15 I can risk divorce! I too have a harem of lipsticks in that color, and one more is always appreciated.

  7. HelOnWheels says:

Looks like you can order directly from the Besame website. Need new lipstick since I was forced to throw out five tubes that were barely half used.

  8. arline says:

I wish I looked good in red lipstick, but I do not.

Did you get it in a store or on the web? Looks really perfect. But, not to bust up your marriage, but I just got the new Tom Ford lipstick in Smoke Red. This is the absolute BEST RED EVER! It goes on and gives you a red lip that is not too opaque, not too matte, not too heavy and made up, but more than just a stain. And when it wears off, you get a really nice stain that stays and stays. I tend to look a little harsh when I put red on so I always kind of rub it in with my finger so it looks like i’m not trying so hard. This gives you that look without smearing it, just putting your lips together. It is a little pricey, at $45 (yes, I know), but if lipstick is part of your look, like if you wear glasses, then it is worth it if it’s the perfect one.
Maybe Nordstrom will have it and then it will be free!

  10. Lorena says:

    The case is fantastic.

  11. Alicia says:

Am I pale enough for it? I mean…pale brown enough? I am, right?

  12. Stella Mayfair says:

i have that lipstick too! it’s the BEST, stays on forever and the package looks great!
their other stuff is wort a try as well.

  13. Stella Mayfair says:

  14. Mia Meow says:

    What! I WANT! 🙂

  15. That gold case is lovely and amazing. Reminds me of all the vintage makeup cases and holders my grandma had which are now mine. They don’t make them like they used to that is for sure, but this is pretty close.

  16. the website almost gave me a heart attack because of the damn bird noises, and the fact that my volume was on full blast.
totally worth it though the packaging is adorable
