The Politics of Stupidity

“Stupidity is the devil. Look in the eye of a chicken and you’ll know. It’s the most horrifying, cannibalistic, and nightmarish creature in this world.”   ~Werner Herzog

Many years ago, I was sitting in my car, waiting to make a right turn. A disheveled man on a bicycle came toward me, and I could see in the distance that he was yelling. As he rode past my car, I saw that he was literally foaming at the mouth. “I hate niggers!” he screamed, spitting some foam.

I have never forgotten this incident. The image is embedded in my brain. It’s hard to describe how it made me feel. It shook me to the core. It was an encounter with fierce, virulent stupidity. It was like staring into the eye of a murderous chicken.

Yesterday, I was confronted again by that chicken, and it was horrifying. I thought we all agreed on basic laws of human decency. How could I forget that frothing bigot?

I don’t believe in censorship but I am against “hate speech.” I love a rousing debate or an exchange of ideas, but I’m not a martyr. I don’t mind insults, even nasty ones, but I’m not here to soak up the free-floating rage of the mentally unhinged. Who would ever think that mocking a spoiled rich kid would invoke an avalanche of crazed taunts about my worthlessness as a human being?

This reign of terror was launched on facebook by a self-avowed friend of the Aldridge women. This friend can’t stop firing off comments along the lines of   “You have sand in your cunt LOL LOL, come shop at my store any time!” Today, she’s still at it. Karen Aldridge has been firing off her own brand of histrionic garbage.

I admit that these women scare me. I haven’t been exposed to this level of vindictiveness or indecency.   It reminds me of prison stories where the inmates are reduced to throwing their own feces to express themselves. It’s not okay. I would like the good citizens of Texas to get back to whatever they were doing, and to let the Aldridge women fight their own war of words with me.

I did say that Jane’s face is fat. However, it does not rate as an attack worthy of the ones I received last night, to the tune of: “I sucked your son’s cock in hell!” and “I’m glad your kid died.”

Stupidity is a funny thing. At one level, it can be amusing. Max loved to watch Sean Hannity on Fox News during the last presidential election. He chuckled each time Hannity pretended to be making a point. Personally, I love the New York Housewives for good basic stupidity.

But the stupidity of these pro-Aldridge people is another matter. It is the devil. And I’m not letting the devil have his say here. I will publish any and all comments that respect my right not to be taunted about my private parts or the loss of my precious child.

That shouldn’t be too hard, right, chickens? For those people complaining that it used to be more fun here, I can only say, No shit, Sherlock.   But we’ll still have fun again. I will, anyway.

I have heard that chubby cheeks are a side effect of Bulimia, I hope thats not the case with Jane but it really wouldn’t surprise me if it were. For a spoiled girl I think certain elements in her life must be pretty tough.

Shell – Thanks to you, I see that you can actually find out the location of an IP and most of the attacks are from Texas, mosat of those from Dallas. There are a few from California. What really blew my mind is that a few really savage ones come from North Carolina. A terrible one is from Ireland.

It is nice to know which are which though. Thanks for the heads up, even if you’re from Texas and don’t know what you’re talking about!

After reading through that dreadful thread and looking at your arm wrestling picture, I have come to the following conclusion: Sister Wolf, you’re a true goddess. I’ve been a sporadic commenter at best, but I hope you know that I think you rule, and I mean that with all my heart.

I’m sorry that you had to suffer so many crazy chicken moments. I’ve had one – I was innocently looking at frozen meats in the supermarket when a random employee moving a box of items walked by me and slyly whispered, “Fucking chinks.” I was so shocked that I let him walk by, and then I wasn’t even sure what I really heard anymore, although the whisper echoed in my mind all day, and still does now and then.

I really wish you hadn’t read through the comments, but there is a silver lining to everything. They are really quite hilarious, if you want to think of it that way. All of Sea and Mom’s fans and even close family, apparently, are a bunch of frothing lunatics! And nothing they say or do can change the fact that they are all just dumb, worthless, soulless lumps of crap. You can polish a turd and dress it in vintage YSL and give it a laptop, but it’s still a turd!

  4. Deepstillwater says:

    What the bleeding cunt?!!
The shoe-buying, fortune-burning, vintage-restyling days of the Aldridges, Dolly Python and their mindless flying monkey spammers must be pretty empty.

    What fucking cunts.

The shit they said was out of order, dreadful, sickening, awful stuff.

They will never know your strength, intelligence and beauty, Sister Wolf – they are not capable of it.

The reality is they are just dumb arrogant fucks. And I take great comfort in that reality!

  5. BethUK says:

Wow – that was one hell of a catch-up.

SW – I’m so sorry that you have had to go through all of this. I can’t believe the vitriol that mocking a cockroach pendant can elicit. I hope they wear themselves out soon and leave you alone on Facebook as well. I completely understand why you would cut them off.

Just wanted to say that I find you hilarious. The reason I started reading your blog is because you intelligently unpick all the things about fashion blogs that make me feel a bit queasy and sad.

  6. This has all gone freakin’ mental. I can sort of understand Mom of Sea lashing out to protect people abusing her daughter but all that comes to mind is Dina Lohan – if she really did think she was better than you she wouldn’t waste her valuable Mom/Sea time yelling abuse at you, who, tbh, can yell abuse at whoever you want right now. Those people who have said vile stuff to you about Max are inhumanely soul-less and stupid, and although I don’t know you or your motives or anything about you I’m pretty sure who I’m backing here.

  7. I do hate to point out, however, that by selecting your comments you’re one step away from what Sea does. Though I doubt Sea gets the same kind of abuse you’ve been getting. Bring them down. Their materialism makes me sick.

  8. I’m beginning to hate FB more and more. It seems to bring out the worst in people. Recently some piece of shit I knew 30 something years ago wrote an inappropriate comment on a pic a friend posted of me from the same time period (and I want to kill her for “tagging” me.) I never saw it until a “friend” told me about it. Do you think a single one of my friends defended me? No. I was so hurt, to the point of nearly deleting my account. I mean my kid or mother could have seen that (and what’s worse is the jackhole could only wish it was true) how would the douche feel about someone saying something like that about his mother (no doubt he’s not in a relationship, at least I pray no woman is so desperate to be with such a misogynistic waste of space.) Sometimes I really hate people. Sorry these morons have launched an attack on you — what psychotics to say such things about someone losing their child!

Nells/Shell – Hey Gretchen/Dolly, couldn’t come up with more varied, imaginative names? Stop blaming others for what was obviously your and your disturbed cronies’ attempts to deflect blame away from yourselves for your vile and disturbed actions (oh, and it’s YOUR posts and comments that are potentially impeachable, based on MY legal training). Go get professional psychological help. Do not pass “Go”. Do not collect $200. Go directly to your nearest mental health clinic.

  10. annemarie says:

“a terrible one is from Ireland”!!!

Jesus fucking Christ, say it ain’t so.

I apologize on behalf of my countrymen.

  11. gigi says:

They are doing to you exactly what you did to them.

  12. Tricia says:

Sadly, I had a similar experience to your disheveled man on a bicycle, except it was a businessman in a suit on 5th Avenue and 44th Street just last week. Which proves they don’t have to look crazy to act crazy, and hate speech can come from the well-dressed, too. All of the horrible and vulgar comments you have received in the past few days are unbelievable, I’m so sorry. Of course you should not publish vicious & brutal verbal attacks.

  13. Sister Wolf says:

Redhead Fashionista – “I do hate to point out, however, that by selecting your comments you’re one step away from what Sea does.”

No. I’m not. I have just explained what I am doing, as carefully as I can.

  14. Gretchen bell aka dolly python says:

Jesus Christ. I never said anything negative about your son’s death. I have offered my condolences. (that comment was mysteriously deleted btw). The only comment I think Joanne really took to heart was the one about her hair looking like ‘shit’ in person. That seemed to really get her going. I really think the name of this blog should be changed to DAMAGED CUNT

    I t

  15. Gretchen bell aka dolly python says:

Call this Seg Damaged Control. I mean come on you have been slinging ‘shit’ at Sea for the last year 1/2. But that’s ok bc it’s just sarcasm. I think it is incredibly unethical of you to publish someones personal info just bc they disagree with you. If I published a customer’s credit card info just bc they pissed me off I would end up in jail. What is wrong with you? And no I’m not gonna spread this bullshit into any other areas of my life except here. You started it. This ‘shit’ belongs on your back yard.

  16. Gretchen bell aka dolly python says:

Lick your wounds how you may. Enjoy a little taste of your own medicine. Stop censoring comments.

  17. Sister Wolf says:

    Gretchen/DOlly – Here’s what’s going to happen.

I’m going to contact all the newpapers and online news sites in Dallas and invite them to see the entire collection of your comments. All of them. Even the ones you wrote under the name of UNCLE JERRY HAS AIDS, because I can document that they were sent by you.

Then, I’ thinking you may decide to leave me alone, in light of the fact that I never mentioned you or even your store in my blog or anywhere else.

    Thanks.

  18. vergoncha says:

These cunts are absolutely ridiculous. Not only that but I’m ashamed that any woman from Texas would act like such trash, actually any woman in general. These heartless bitches need to give up. People are going to criticize no matter what… that’s life. Sea and Mom should know this… if it’s not Sister Wolf giving them a good heckle then it’s gonna be someone else, there are plenty shit talkers out there. Big Fucking Deal! I can’t believe someone would stoop as low down as scum and even dare to bring Max into this. That is such shit! I can’t say I’m surprised though, they do live in the DFW area… where all the yuppie asshole Texans reside.

  19. Gretchen bell aka dolly python says:

Joanne, my uncle Jerry really does have aids. It’s been very very hard on me. Thanks for changing damaged cont. Comment To damaged cunt. Any real publication would look at this whole mess and laugh. This whole thing is completely retarded. Crawfish all you like. Go ahead a put together another smear campaign bc your vindictive. that’s brilliant. Real healthy. I’m going to yoga. Try it it helps with anger tremendously. Good bye Joanne and good luck to all of you. Time to move along. 🙂

  20. Aja says:

Time to move along Dolly? Damage control. Good timing. Someone threatens you and THEN you move along. What about all your friends that have left horrid comments about SW’s dead son? Will they move along with you? Just wondering.

  21. Sister Wolf says:

Gretchen – FINALLY something made sense to you, eh? The part that is “retarded” is……oh, never mind. It is beyond your grasp.

It is well pat time to move along. I am contacted the Dallas news sites right now in another window. I believe your behavior is newsworthy.

  22. Sister Wolf says:

vergoncha – thanks for your sanity. I appreciate it.

  23. Audi says:

Oh that’s rich; I just love the above ‘retarded’ comment followed by a misuse of the word ‘your’ and a failure to capitalize or punctuate. Can’t people at least troll in proper English?

The comments here have been truly out of control. There’s a big difference between mocking a blog that exists solely to flaunt an absurdly lavish lifestyle and making personal attacks on someone to the extent of disparaging her deceased son. I wouldn’t blame you if you deleted the hateful comments, SW. There’s no reason you need to put up with that shit on your blog.

  24. Gretchen bell aka dolly python says:

Sigh. I have no control over anyones actions except my own. All of this is very tired. Jane did not ask me to do any thing I did it on my own. Same with the others. I just happen to think Joanne is wrong. Why focus on things that make you so angry? Things you cannot control. I asked this from day one and all I’ve received was hateful comments about how stupid I am etc. All of the sudden I’m the ring leader of this crap ‘shit’. Which is fine so now she’s mad and wants to destroy me. See she has accomplished nothing but negativity and hate. So we delivered. It’s a whirl pool of vomit. I still think Joanne has a lot of misguided anger and she really gets off on the praise and bashing. There’s no bottom to that hole. Just like in her photos. She’s a beautiful woman but her eyes are sad empty bottomless holes. I’m done now.

  26. oh dear joanne sister wolf —
so much to say about everything. how is it that lucas or max never
thought to tell me how much i would rant and rail, laugh and weep with you on godammit? well goddam them.

our visit yesterday left me weepy and furious. more thoughts and
probably more to say about all of it as well.

finding that picture of m & l at age 8 … what wild, goofy, original boys they were, how well they loved each other. thank you for your kind words.

send me your email, okay? there’s a public-ness to this that i shy
    away from. love, randi

    “Time to move along”

Why can’t you keep your word, Gretchen??? Why did you have to post AGAIN?? We don’t care what you have to say, we never have. Please go away and stay away.

  28. Sister Wolf says:

randi – They were, weren’t they? Reading your words has brought me to tears. Loving kindness seems pretty rare these days.

Thank you for being part of my history and for loving Max. xoxoxoxo

  29. Rosa says:

Hi Sister Wolf, I think you’ve taken the best approach possible to this.

The pro-Aldridge agenda seems to have been to try and drag your dignity, personal life and son Max’s memory through the mud…

And for what reason? To support rampant consumerism to the point of indecency? To show that materialism has replaced morality?

I think you’re completely right in moderating the repetitive and malicious tirades put forth by these people. Stay strong, Sister, and don’t ever shut up.

Gretchen Bell Python Person – get help and leave already. You have disgraced yourself more than enough…VAPID, MATERIALIST WHORE!
